How Zeitlos builds and deploys your app, and how to trigger and inspect builds.
A build takes the current commit on your connected branch, builds your app, and deploys the result. Everything a build produces is visible under Builds in your project.
When builds happen
- On every push to the branch you connected when creating the project.
- Manually, from the Builds page — useful after changing an environment variable, which does not itself trigger a build.
Only one build runs at a time per project. A newer build supersedes a queued one.
Building a subdirectory
If your app lives in a folder of a larger repository, point Zeitlos at that path in Settings → General. Only that directory is built and deployed, so a monorepo doesn't have to be split up.
When a build fails
Check the build logs to understand why it's failing. The failing command and its output are there in full.
Tip
If you're not able to get your build to work on Zeitlos, get in touch with us. We're happy to help.
